Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized part time Front Desk Receptionist to join our small, privately run Physical Therapy Clinic. This person will be the first point of contact for patients, providing help with scheduling, insurance verification, copayments, as well as other administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in patient interaction, interpersonal skills, and common computer applications.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits.
- Verify and update patient insurance information.
- Provide clerical support by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Utilize computer systems to manage patient data.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills, including typing proficiency and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
