- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to clarify coverage requirements.
- Billing Charge Entry
- Accurately enter billing information into the system.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to prevent claim denials.
- Track authorization requests and resolve any issues or denials.
- Surgery Scheduling
- Coordinate surgical schedules, ensuring timely and efficient appointment management.
- Manage patient communications regarding scheduling and financial obligations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in prior authorization, medical billing, or healthcare scheduling.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EMR) and practice management software.
- Ability to analyze patient and insurance information accurately.
