The Opportunity
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and curious individual to join our Advancement team. This full-time position is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn about fundraising, communications, and community engagement in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
As the Advancement Assistant, you’ll work across a range of projects supporting our development and communications efforts. You’ll get exposure to everything from donor stewardship to alumni relations to data and digital tools—making this a great foundation for a future career in independent schools, nonprofits, or education.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with an energetic team and support the following:
- Annual Giving & Stewardship: Help coordinate donor outreach, manage thank-you processes, and support volunteer fundraisers.
- Alumni Engagement: Assist with event planning, outreach, and communications that keep alumni connected to Paideia.
- Communications Support: Assist with media management, school event photography, and content creation for email and social media.
- Data & Research: Help maintain and organize donor records, generate reports, and conduct basic prospect research.
- Office Operations: Keep things running smoothly by coordinating meetings and calendars, proofreading materials, monitoring the budget and managing supplies.
- Apogee Scholarship Program: Manage reporting and documentation for this important $350,000 financial aid program.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be an advancement expert—just someone who is organized, eager to learn, and cares about education and community. Specifically, you should bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in a nonprofit, school, or similar professional setting
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfort with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn tools like Veracross, Raiser’s Edge, and Canva
- A proactive, collaborative spirit and a positive attitude

Additional Details
- This is a full-time, on-campus role based in Atlanta
