You will take early-stage AI agents and turn them into robust, high-performance systems running on PowerNodes. You own: System correctness → performance → reliability.
About PAI3 Network
We are building a decentralised AI network where all inference runs locally. No cloud. No central control. Just secure, private AI systems.
How We Work
You will:
- Use Cursor Claude to build systems
- Operate in an AI-first engineering model
- Optimise inference and agent behaviour
- Work on local, edge-based systems
You will NOT:
- Rely on Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud pipelines
- Build traditional backend systems
Core Responsibilities
System Engineering
- Turn agents into reliable systems
- Optimise execution and inference
AI Model Work
- Work with PyTorch, LoRA, QLoRA when needed
- Optimise models for local execution
Agent Orchestration
- Use LangChain / LangGraph
- Design stable, multi-step workflows
Integration
- Build APIs and bindings to real systems
- Ensure clean system interaction
What We Expect
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Experience building AI systems
- Comfort working with AI-assisted development
- Ability to operate without rigid structure
Logistics
- 1099 independent contractor
- Full-time, on-site — Cary, NC
- $42,000–$72,000 annually
