Job Summary:

This position will lead site process improvements and department efficiency initiatives. Perform assessments utilizing analytical skills to understand department environments and associated Lean Six Sigma opportunities. Leverage the flexibility of Lean and Six Sigma tools to enhance approach to department environments. Develop, manage and lead continuous improvement strategies and initiatives. Lead/assist in execution of Rapid Improvement events.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for assisting in identification and leading process improvement projects that support strategic imperatives through the use of Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Mentor project team members regarding Six Sigma culture and infrastructure. Ensure appropriate identification of root causes through effective use of data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Use Six Sigma and advanced project management methodology to drive change management. Act as a change agent to instill Lean Six Sigma culture throughout the organization.
  • Identify and propagate Best Practices. Evaluate solutions and implementation plans. Partner with Process Owners and Champions to drive results.
  • Create, motivate and facilitate cross-team collaboration across business units to deliver on business objectives.
  • Develop and provide Lean Six Sigma training and coaching for Black Belts, Green Belts, and process improvement groups.
  • Prepare and present findings/proposals to senior leadership with recommendations, including cost benefit analysis, risk mitigation, and action plans. Deliver significant business impact on potential project opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification. Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt and Lean Master 
  • Certification from reputable program
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMI) highly desirable
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a full-time Black Belt and/or Master Black Belt with hands-on Lean experience
  • Led or had significant hands-on experience with at least five (5) projects at Black Belt level
  • Led classroom Lean Six Sigma training, along with coaching and mentoring of Green Belts, 
  • Black Belts and potential Master Black Belts at organizations known for Lean Six Sigma utilization for strategic growth
  • Demonstrated mastery of Six Sigma tools and Lean concepts
  • Advanced data analytics beyond basic Six Sigma tools
  • Development of metrics and dashboard concepts
  • Benchmarking, survey and other Voice of Customer vehicles
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Minitab skills
  • Change Management education and experience
