The Maintenance Technician Hourly plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems across the United States. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and infrastructure. The technician will work closely with facility management to identify maintenance needs and implement solutions promptly. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and compliance, ensuring all work meets regulatory standards. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician Hourly contributes to a safe, reliable, and productive work environment by maintaining high operational standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, including HVAC systems, production machinery, and building infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational planning.
- Collaborate with team members and management to develop and implement maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
Skills:
