We’re currently seeking a board member with strengths in finance and/or program management. We value individuals who are aligned with our mission and who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the table.

- Opened Center for Achievement in Ho offering lending library and computer resources and training (2014)
- Created a sponsorship program that has sent over 120 students to school
- Created safe housing for vulnerable youth
- Opened Pagus Learning Center in Kpando (2013)
- Built an eight-classroom school with offices, library, and bathrooms.
- Provided clean and sustainable water sources in two communities.
- Created volunteer programs for cultural exchanges.
- Sent school and medical supplies and equipment.
- Provided a school van and a second vehicle for farm work to one of our partner schools.

- Serving as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director as the strategic plan is developed and implemented
- Reviewing and approving the annual budget and financial strategies
- Monitoring organizational performance and impact
- Preparing for and participating in board and committee meetings
- Contributing to board recruitment and onboarding
- Serving on committees or special initiatives
- Advise the Executive Director on strategic planning and implementation
- Review and approve the annual budget and financial strategies
- Monitor organizational financial performance and reporting
- Participate in board and committee meetings
- Support board recruitment and onboarding of new members
- Serve on committees or lead special initiatives
- Represent Pagus to donors, partners, and other stakeholders
- Promote diversity and equity on the board and among staff
- Attend board and committee meetings (virtual or in-person as agreed)
- Contribute 4-6 hours per month through active participation
- Fulfill committee assignments and special projects as needed
- Consider Pagus Africa one of your top three philanthropic priorities by
- Making an annual financial contribution that reflects your commitment, and/or
- Leveraging your network to help raise funds from individuals or institutions aligned with our mission

- Experience in or willingness to grow into a board leadership role
- Skills or interest in nonprofit finance, fundraising, or governance
- A collaborative spirit and a commitment to making a difference
- Experience or interest in nonprofit finance or program management
- Interest in global education, youth development, or international nonprofits
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience on a nonprofit board (preferred but not required)
