Position Summary
As a Server at Pagos, you’ll deliver an exceptional guest experience through knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient service. You’ll guide guests through our menu of classic Italian dishes and pizza, provide thoughtful recommendations, and work closely with the team to ensure every table is cared for from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Know the menu thoroughly, including ingredients, preparation, and potential allergens
- Offer recommendations on food and beverages; describe specials confidently
- Take accurate orders and enter them correctly into the POS system
- Maintain table service standards: refills, pacing courses, pre-bussing, and check-backs
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar to ensure smooth timing and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest requests and resolve concerns professionally and quickly
- Process payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures
- Assist with side work: stocking, polishing, resetting, and maintaining a clean section
- Uphold all food safety and alcohol service guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior serving experience preferred (Italian/pizza experience a plus, but not required)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to [25–40] lbs
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
