South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation withSUNY Downstate Health Sciences UniversityandNYIT College of Osteopathic Medicineto maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

• Medical Management and care of patients in the Medicine Inpatient units.
• Attend to consultations and referrals, as needed.
• Provide education and training to resident, medical student staff, and junior members of the medical team.
• Collaboration with facility-wide departments,as required.
• Participation in hospital wide performance and quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
• Flexible schedule for evening and overnight hours coverage - Dedicated hours with flexibility for coverage.

• Current or Pending NYS License
• Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine
• Cultural sensitivity and experience treating a diverse patient population preferred

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $241,000* (board eligible); $246,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $360,620** (board eligible) and $366,120** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
