Opportunity Details:
- Provide inpatient palliative care consultations and ongoing follow-up for hospitalized patients.
- Evaluate and manage complex pain and symptom management needs.
- Facilitate compassionate communication and shared decision-making with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Serve as a clinical resource and educator to physicians, trainees, and staff on palliative care best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, goals of care discussions, and treatment plans in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research efforts, and the ongoing development of palliative and end-of-life care programs.
- Active and unrestricted NYS medical license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice/Palliative Care.
- Current DEA registration.
Wages and Benefits include:
AnnualBase Salary: $236,000* (Board Eligible); $241,000* (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week.Additionalcompensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $355,120** (Board Eligible) and $360,620** (Board Certified),which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
- Estimated annual compensation for 10additionalsessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520**.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees areimmediatelyvested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match isrequired.
- After one year ofservice, employees receive anadditional7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match isrequired.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
- Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
