Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team in unique fusion retail store combining a wine/craft beer bar and cafe with a used and vintage bookshop. The ideal candidate will assist in customer assistance, serving wine, beer and small plates and also rotate onto the sales floor of the bookshop.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service
- Provide customer service at the wine bar or coffee bar, serve beer, wine, small plates and coffee per customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and presentable food and drink service environment.
- Assist in oipening or closing the bar and shop (depending on schedule).
- Assist customers in the bookshop and answer customer questions, assist in finding books by request, provide cashiering.
- Set up work and clean up for open and close as needed.
Light housekeeping to keep the shop tidy and merchandise in presentable displays.
Qualifications:
Strong interest and knowledge of books, authors, beer, wine and cheese is important, or interest in learning about these things.
Strong orientation to customer service and attention to details.
Friendly demaeanor, and interest in people.
Positive attitude, and inteerest in working in a small boutique shop.
Strong aptitude for technology (POS systems) .
Good problem solving ability.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
