Page and Smith is seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our growing team in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This position is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys client relationships, technical tax work, and mentoring staff in a collaborative public accounting environment.
The Tax Manager will oversee tax preparation and review services for individuals, businesses, and other entities while helping clients navigate complex tax matters and planning opportunities.
- Manage and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Research and resolve complex tax issues
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff members
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and trusted guidance
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and firm standards
- Collaborate with firm leadership on workflow management and process improvements
- Minimum of 5 years of tax experience in public accounting
- CPA license required
- Use of Ultra Tax strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience reviewing and preparing partnership, S Corporation, and individual tax returns
- Strong communication and client service
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy seasons
