What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOGISTICS SPECIALIST - ALEXANDRIA, LA position at Pafford?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete inspections weekly for all stations in the assigned region. Inspections include, but are not limited to, all station supply closets, inventory, and processing orders. Maintains cleanliness, organization, and par levels at all assigned locations.
• Reports to the Director of Logistics on findings, makes recommendations and executes actions based on best practice
standards and prescribed initiatives. Maintain par levels at all stations within region.
• Maintains supply cabinet set-up, organization, orders, deliveries, stock and re-stocking of each supply cabinet within region
• Oversees materials management, logistics, supply chain, and centralized stock rooms for assigned stations.
• Maintains strict compliance with all Pafford Policies & Procedures.
• Maintains strict compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the state and federal programs.
• May perform other related duties or task as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Must be of upstanding moral and ethical character.
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter
• High school diploma and have experience in EMS
• Must be proficient in use of the English language.
• Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Experience in logistics and/or supply chain management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary
customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices. Able to successful self-lead, self-manage, and work independently.
• Must be able to act as a professional, respectful brand ambassador for Pafford; interacting with customers, clients, employees, fire employees,
governmental agencies and personnel as well as federal and state contractors.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work may require sitting, near vision use for reading and computer use, lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing,
pushing, pulling, reaching, and other physical exertion.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
• Must possess visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, perform accounting functions, operate a computer terminal,
operate a motor vehicle, and do extensive reading.
