District Manager

Paek Management Group
Costa Mesa, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 7/11/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/10/2026

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to lead and elevate the performance of our 4 high-volume express car wash locations and 1 convenience store in Southern California. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the full scope of multi-site operations, driving consistent excellence in customer experience, team performance, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. The District Manager will coach and develop Site Managers and site teams, enforce high standards, optimize KPIs, manage labor and maintenance effectively, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement to exceed company expectations and deliver exceptional results.

What You’ll Do:

Provide strategic and operational leadership across 4 express car wash sites and 1 convenience store, ensuring alignment with company goals, brand standards, and best practices in the express tunnel car wash industry.

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and performance-manage Site Managers and Assistant Managers; drive people-development initiatives—talent identification, succession planning, training programs, and performance evaluations—to build a high-performing, engaged workforce and reduce turnover.

Monitor and optimize key performance indicators—including car counts, average ticket/revenue per car, membership sales and retention, customer satisfaction, labor optimization, chemical and supply costs, uptime/downtime, profitability, and fuel volume and margin; analyze sales, labor, and operational reports daily/weekly to identify trends, variances, and opportunities, and implement action plans with site leaders to hit or exceed targets.

Ensure flawless operational execution through adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and quality control, reinforced by regular site visits, audits, and accountability measures that deliver fast, friendly, high-quality express car wash service and foster a culture of ownership and pride in results.

Manage labor planning and scheduling across the district to optimize staffing levels, control labor costs, maintain service speed, and ensure proper coverage during peak and off-peak hours.

Oversee facility and equipment maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance schedules, vendor coordination, repairs, and cleanliness standards to maximize equipment uptime, minimize breakdowns, and extend asset life.

Lead district-level sales and marketing—membership growth strategies, upselling initiatives, local promotions, and customer acquisition/retention—plus convenience store optimization through inside sales, gross margins, category performance, and inventory management; handle customer escalations and incidents to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Lead full utilization and optimization of the car wash POS system (membership enrollment, package sales, reporting, and reconciliation) while driving adoption of supporting tech tools—site cameras, automated reporting dashboards, payment processors, and new digital initiatives—to maximize revenue, reduce errors, improve throughput, and ensure accurate daily/weekly financial closeouts.

Collaborate with corporate/support teams on budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and special projects.

Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies related to safety, environmental standards, and employment practices.

What We’re Looking For:

3–5 years of multi-unit leadership experience, preferably in express car wash, quick-service retail, or high-volume hospitality/food/retail operations.

Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving KPIs, and managing P&L responsibility to achieve or exceed performance goals.

Strong people leadership skills with experience in talent development, coaching, and performance management in a fast-paced environment.

Solid understanding of labor management, scheduling optimization, and cost control in service-based operations.

Knowledge of car wash equipment, maintenance best practices, technology, and operational workflows; prior convenience store experience highly preferred.

Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Ability to travel frequently between locations (Orange County and San Pedro) with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed to support operations.

High energy, hands-on approach, and passion for elevating standards and delivering outstanding results.
