Job Summary:
A Pilot is in overall command of the operation of a vessel and is responsible for supervising the work of all crew members. They determine the course and speed of the vessel, maneuver it to avoid hazards, and continuously monitor the vessel’s position with charts and navigational aids. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Weekends and overtime should be highly anticipated.

What you’ll do:
- Determine the course and speed of the vessel, maneuver to avoid hazards, and continuously monitor the vessel’s position with charts and navigational aids.
- Respond to emergency situations according to the Company's policy and procedure manual.
- Overall command of the operation of the vessel and supervise the work of all officers and crew.
What you'll need:
- Must have updated and correct License by USCG for navigation.
- Possess The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) from the Transportation Security Administration and The Merchant Mariner's Credential (MMC) from the U.S. Coast Guard.
- Ability to keep up with fast-paced paperwork requirements and possess basic computer knowledge for communication and navigational purposes.
- Ability to read and understand USCG regulations and possess basic math calculations like ETA’s, MPH, etc.
- Ability to communicate and handle situations with the vessel crew and vessel management competently.
- Ability to supervise the vessel crew and management proficiently. Provide prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur.
