Relay Technician
Paducah Power System is seeking applications for a Relay Technician. This individual will be responsible for the configuration and testing of PPS protective relays, SCADA equipment, meters, and other intelligent electronic devices and related equipment. This position reports directly to the Manager of Technical Services. The ideal candidate possesses a thorough knowledge of electric power system operations, techniques, materials and equipment required for relay and metering installations; as well as proficiency with Windows and Linux based operating systems. Education should include electrical engineering technology or the equivalent. Pay is commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications. In addition to seasoned applicants, PPS is open to considering recent graduates with less experience. The Relay Technician must be a self-starter, willing to accept responsibility, and be capable of working on his/her own initiative; this position plays an important role in maintaining reliable service to the organization. Non-standard working hours and overtime are required as needed. Must live within a 30-minute response time to Paducah Power System (no exceptions). Qualified applicants should apply below.
