Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and various medical systems. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physician and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Dermatology experience is a plus!
Duties
Assist the Doctor with Mohs Surgery which includes but not limited to the tasks listed below:
- Obtain vital signs
- Prepare surgical rooms for examination of patients
- Keeps rooms stocked with supplies at all times
- Give injections
- Dressing Changes
- Suture Removals
- Suturing
- Cauterization
- Wound care counseling
- Advance experience with Ipads
- Data entry and using EMR program
- Good understanding of skin anatomy
- Ability to work as a team member
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrate skills in administration of topical and local anesthetics
- Empathetic with patient needs and concerns
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
