Mechanical Engineering Internship Summary

As the Mechanical Engineering Intern supporting our plastics division, you will focus on driving measurable performance improvements and supporting key engineering initiatives. Your primary objective will be to increase pounds-per-machine-hour by 10% on our shredders and extruders through data analysis, process optimization, and targeted engineering solutions. You will also conduct an ergonomic assessment of plant grinders to identify improvement opportunities that enhance safety and operator efficiency. During periods of lower project demand, you will contribute to additional engineering and operations support activities, including developing work instructions, assisting with equipment guarding enhancements, and conducting research on ASR processing equipment.
