Position Summary:
Our Large Equipment Operator are responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to switch trucks, hydraulic cranes, mobile cranes, loaders, and trac-mobiles. This role supports daily yard operations by moving, loading, and preparing materials as needed. The Equipment Operator is expected to actively demonstrate and support PADNOS company values while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. A valid driver’s license is required.
Schedule
- M-F 6:30am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or railcars and move materials to designated areas
- Maintain basic production, inventory, shipment, and equipment maintenance records as required
- Identify and distinguish between different grades and types of materials
- Inspect incoming and outgoing loads and assist with material grading when applicable
- Assist with hand-sorting materials as needed to support yard operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Minimum of six months of experience operating large equipment
- Safety-oriented with a commitment to safe work practices
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment
- Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated
