Legal Assistant wanted with 2 to 5 years of legal experience for a Plaintiff personal injury law firm located in Birmingham, MI. Candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks, maintain deadlines and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling court hearings, depositions, arbitrations & facilitations, etc.
- Drafting and reviewing of pleadings
- Submitting and managing of all e-filings
- Manage all incoming and out going discovery
- Contact with clients, courts and attorneys
- Track and maintain deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an assistant or other legal field
- Familiarity with civil pleadings
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
