Role Description
The Production and Facilities Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of Padholder's production floor in Largo, FL. This position oversees day-to-day manufacturing activities, including production, warehouse, QC, and assembly, while maintaining facility readiness and serving as the on-site escalation point for operational issues.
This is not a purely supervisory role. The ideal candidate steps in wherever needed, leads by example, and ensures that every finished unit meets Padholder's quality standards. The right person will bring structure, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production team members, including warehouse, QC, and assembly operations, to meet production goals.
- Safety & Quality Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and operating procedures at all times.
- Equipment & Maintenance: Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Team Development: Train and mentor production staff on processes, safety practices, and quality expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of production output, quality checks, and inventory usage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve production delays, material shortages, or supply chain disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote and support Lean manufacturing practices and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Facility Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and organization of production areas in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Facility Management: Manage facility readiness, equipment checks, and resource coordination to support uninterrupted workflow.
- Security & Asset Protection: Safeguard facility assets, inventory areas, and site-level security protocols.
- Operational Backup: Serve as the designated backup for all facility personnel; step in as needed to maintain workflow continuity across production, warehouse, and assembly during employee absences.
- Secondary QC Lead: Act as the secondary Quality Control lead; conduct QC reviews on all assemblies completed by the primary QC technician and confirm that all finished units meet required specifications and standards.
- On-Site Escalation: Serve as the on-site escalation point for operational issues and coordinate solutions with the Director of Operations.
- Strategic Contribution: Participate in planning meetings and contribute to the development of production strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 10 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of production workflows, safety standards, and quality assurance
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with production or inventory management systems
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Familiarity with EOS or similar operational frameworks
- Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Largo, FL. The work environment is a fast-paced production floor that may involve extended periods of standing, walking, or lifting (up to 50 lbs.), as well as exposure to noise, machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
