Position Description:
- 100% outpatient role—no hospital work or call.
- Ideal for adaptable team players committed to our protocols—no prior experience required; we value enthusiasm and quick learning. New grad NPs are welcome to apply.
- This fast-paced outpatient role combines responsibilities in Nurse Practitioner (NP) Consultations with duties in one of our specialized clinical procedure positions (CS1 or CS4).
NP Consult Duties
- Evaluate patient history, symptoms, and vascular health (e.g., ABI, pulse checks).
- Interpret ultrasounds with RVT; diagnose PAD and recommend procedures (e.g., angiograms, atherectomies).
- Educate patients on PAD, treatments, and management.
- From time to time, the NP will participate in marketing
CS1 Duties:
- Obtaining and monitoring vital signs & pedal pulses
- IV placement
- Preparing the groin for access
- Monitor access site, assuring hemostasis
- Discharging the patient home
- Documenting all information in our EMR.
- Inventory and supply management
CS4 Duties:
- Procedure Room Circulator
- Patient flow is running smoothly
- Making sure the patient has followed all pre-procedure guidelines
- Reviewing patient charts, labs, H&P
- Dispensing medications
- Documenting the procedure and building the report.
- Handling patient complications
- Obtaining H&P and medication list
- Performing ABIs, vital signs, blood draws
- Wound care
Locations & Travel
- Location(s): DFW (Bedford), Denton and Mansfield
- Travel Requirements: 4 days in Denton per month.
Schedule:
- Mon-Fri; Saturdays and/or Sundays occasionally required (between 0–2 days/month, based on patient care needs) – includes a weekend bonus
- 7-10 hour shifts; occasionally starting as early as 6:30 AM (patient-dependent).
