Responsibilities
Summary:
This position is responsible for all resin handling and assiting Extrusion Operators in maintaining the extrusion machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintains, operates, and responsible for unloading and handling of resin raw materials and blending, conditioning, mixing and utilization of resin materials in the Una-Dyn room.
- Assists in extruding thermoplastic materials
- Tapes ends of extruded article to reel spindle and starts machine that winds material onto revolving spindle
- Measures extruded article with measuring wheel and cuts it to specified length, using a knife
- Removes roll from spindle with a forklift and weighs roll on scales
- Accurately records length and weight of roll-on shipping tag
- Saws scrap tubes and rods into lengths for grinding in hammer mill
- Mix thermoplastic materials, according to formula, for feeding extrusion machine
- Mousekeeping daily
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastic industry
- Ability to work with little supervision
