POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who the owner can train, mentor and delegate duties to as she transitions to semi-retirement. Position will include supervising accounting staff and the opportunity for long term growth in responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile and process daily and monthly financial data
- Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Process payroll and file payroll tax returns
- Complete state and local sales tax returns
- Support and supervise small accounting staff
- Manage month and year end close processes
- Comfortable managing multiple clients, each with differing needs, processes and deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 8 years experience in similar accounting responsibilities, with supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet recurring deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
