What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant position at PacShore Communities?
We are looking for a Property Accountant to join our team!
As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations for our portfolio of Mobile Homes, RV Parks, Multi-Family Apartments and Condo Conversions. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain property accounting records, and support strategic financial decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic industry where community and recreation come together.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of property budgets.
- Provide input and analysis to support budget variance explanations.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with property managers on collections and accounts receivable.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations for property-specific accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and risks to support operational decision-making.
- Assist with property tax assessments and compliance.
- Support the Accounting Manager in all duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, a related field or 3 years of experience in property accounting or real estate accounting.
- Yardi Voyager and Yardi Elevate experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
