We are seeking geotechnical/construction materials testing field and laboratory technicians to join our team in Tampa, Florida! As a geotechnical/construction material testing field and/or laboratory technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of construction materials (soils, concrete and others) testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed procedures.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Performing testing and sampling of soils, concrete, pavement, and other construction materials at active construction sites and/or in the laboratory.
- Reviewing construction plans to determine the testing required, and track testing performed.
- Communicating with client and project team on construction progress and testing results.
- Preparing daily field reports of construction activities and testing results.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school education or Equivalent.
- Experience performing construction materials testing / inspections is preferred, but not required.
- Experienced professionals are highly encouraged to apply.
- Must have basic math, calculator and computer skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication.
- Must be able to read and understand work plans.
- Must be able to work off shifts and overtime .
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required).
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds.
