The Inspection Quality Manager is a pivotal leadership role within the quality organization and reports to the Director of Quality. This role will entail actively supervising a diverse team comprising both hourly and salaried employees within the quality department. This role is essential in the administration and continuous improvement of the quality inspection systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a manager, this position entails a balance of on-the-floor quality inspection leadership and oversight of the site’s receiving inspection, manufacturing in-process, final inspection and NDT team leaders and personnel. It will also entail daily collaboration and engagement with the operations quality managers and quality engineers, operations value stream leadership and supervisors, manufacturing engineering staff and other functional leadership or team members, to ensure procured materials adhere to contractual, customer and supplier quality requirements are processed in a timely manner to facilitate site operations execution.

Key roles and responsibilities will include:
Support the development and implementation of robust career development plans for subordinate leadership staff, including skill set development, cross-training, prioritization of development goals and promotional advancement opportunities
Develop and advocate for critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various quality inspection functions, providing training on effective metric usage and ensuring their consistent application and refinement for all quality inspection functions, receiving, in-process, final inspection and NDT functions
Initiate and be the driving force for strategic enhancements in quality inspection processes by incorporating industry-leading automated inspection capabilities – including incorporation of AI (artificial intelligence) for electronic and mechanical hardware, to optimize quality inspection techniques and efficiencies
Act as a facilitator and provide leadership support during internal and external Quality Audits (AS9100D, Customer, Government) as necessary
Embrace and execute additional responsibilities as they arise
Role requires working 5-day workweeks to ensure weekend inspection work- load prioritization and staff execution in support of 7-day/week operations

Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality-centric roles
Prior experience in leadership roles is strongly preferred
Proficient knowledge of First Article Inspection reports, compliant with AS9100D and other industry standards
Proficient knowledge of Lean operations principles
Proficient in corrective actions and problem-solving methodologies (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement in quality inspection process activities
Preferred – strong knowledge and direct experience with AS9100D Quality Management System standards

Education and Experience:
BS Degree in related field or comparable work experience.

Bonus or Equity
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 101,500.00 - 188,500.00
