The Sales Engineer’s primary function is to manage customer opportunities and orders through the sales, engineering, and implementation phases of a project in order to ensure that customer expectations are managed and met and that the company remains profitable throughout a project.

 Responsibilities:

• Understand our customers, markets, and solutions.
• Understand our internal systems and processes to include all departments.
• Work directly with our current Sales Engineering team and our customers to develop layouts, propose solutions, and manage expectations.
• Work with engineering and operations to develop accurate price estimates and keep our price list updated.
• Develop relationships with our cooperative vendors in order to make integration projects go smoothly.
• Work with our external component vendors to understand their product lines and technologies.
• Administer our CRM system and customer file cabinet for automating communications, proposals, and outbound marketing.
• Learn our ERP system to obtain accurate solution costs for preparation of estimates.
• Publish White Papers pertaining to interleaving automation, the benefits of interleaving, and the innovation surrounding new interleaving materials.
• Support Writing press releases for new and existing products.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Food industry experience preferable.
• Equipment experience preferable.
• 5-10 years of experience in sales and engineering environments.
• Proficiency in Draft Site, AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in use of ERP systems (Epicore).
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, and other departments.
• Good oral / written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make suggestions for change.
• Must be highly detail oriented; attentive to accuracy and neatness.
• Displays diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with customers and other departments.
• Demonstrates cooperation and willingness to take instruction.
• High degree of flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks.
• Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Must be in office in Souderton, PA.
