About the Role

PackYak Fulfillment is hiring a Bulk Shipment Coordinator to manage high-volume outbound order flow, bulk shipment execution, and special project work across the warehouse. This role is responsible for releasing, organizing, prioritizing, and driving waves/batches to ensure bulk orders are picked, packed, staged, and shipped accurately and on time.

The Bulk Shipment Coordinator plays a key role in maximizing pick efficiency, improving warehouse throughput, and ensuring customer, wholesale, FBA, FBT, and carrier-specific requirements are met. This position requires a very strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate people, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This position requires availability to work two or more Saturday shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities

Wave & Batch Management

• Release, manage, and execute waves/batches to maximize picking efficiency and overall warehouse throughput.
• Prioritize bulk shipments based on carrier cutoffs, customer requirements, dock schedules, labor availability, and operational needs.
• Monitor progress throughout the day and adjust priorities as needed to keep outbound work moving on schedule.
• Direct and coordinate the picking and packing of bulk shipments to ensure accuracy, speed, and proper workflow execution.
• Communicate clearly with warehouse leads, pickers, packers, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure all bulk work is aligned and completed on time.

Bulk Shipment Coordination

• Stage and consolidate orders by route, carrier, client, dock door, or shipment type.
• Ensure bulk orders are properly grouped, labeled, palletized, and prepared for outbound handoff.
• Verify that shipments are complete, organized, and ready before being transferred to shipping or loaded for pickup.
• Support outbound loadout activities including palletizing, stretch-wrapping, labeling, sorting, and dock staging.
• Ensure shipment documentation, labels, and routing requirements are accurate and complete.

FBA, FBT & Wholesale Support

• Prepare FBA, FBT, wholesale, and other bulk shipments according to client, marketplace, and carrier requirements.
• Ensure cartons, pallets, labels, case packs, and shipment plans meet required specifications.
  Assist with wholesale orders as needed, including picking coordination, carton consolidation, pallet preparation, and shipment staging.
• Help identify and correct compliance issues before shipments leave the facility.
• Work with leads and managers to ensure special routing, labeling, and marketplace requirements are followed accurately.

Special Projects & Operational Execution

• Execute special projects such as rework, relabeling, kitting, compliance updates, repacking, and product preparation as necessary.
• Ensure project work is completed accurately, efficiently, and by the required deadline.
• Coordinate labor and materials needed to complete assigned projects.
• Track project progress and communicate delays, blockers, or resource needs to leadership.
• Maintain organized work areas for project staging, in-progress work, and completed shipments.

Safety, Cleanliness & General Warehouse Support

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized staging, project, and dock areas.
• Ensure pallets, cartons, and bulk shipments are safely stacked, wrapped, labeled, and moved.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed, including picking, packing, receiving support, inventory moves, cycle counts, and cleanup.
• Help promote a team-oriented environment focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

• 3 years of warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, bulk shipping, or outbound operations experience.
• Experience coordinating order flow, batch/wave work, shipping preparation, or warehouse projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
• Comfortable working with SKUs, cartons, pallets, labels, shipment documentation, and warehouse systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members, leads, managers, and cross-functional departments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and willingness to take ownership of daily outbound results.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn WMS, shipping, and marketplace tools quickly.

Preferred

• Experience with WMS platforms, shipping software, or marketplace fulfillment workflows.
• Forklift driving experience
• Experience preparing FBA, FBT, wholesale, retail compliance, or palletized shipments.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience/certification, or willingness to be trained.
• Previous experience as a warehouse lead, outbound coordinator, shipping coordinator, inventory coordinator, or fulfillment specialist.
• Familiarity with carrier cutoffs, dock scheduling, pallet labeling, BOLs, routing guides, and shipment compliance requirements.
• Experience with kitting, relabeling, rework, special projects, or value-added services.

• Carrier cutoffs and operational deadlines are consistently met.
• Bulk shipment errors, missed items, and rework are minimized through strong coordination and follow-through.
