About The Role
Packsize is seeking a Senior OHS Specialist who will support the consistent implementation and improvement of the organization’s Occupational Health and Safety programs. This position will ensure Packsize adheres to regional occupational and health regulations, OHSA, CCOHS (Canada), and STPS (Mexico. The OHS Specialist will cross-train and assist the quality assurance department with adherence to the Packsize corrective action process, specifically issues identified with a potential safety risk.
This position requires working knowledge of safety standards and regulations and a continuous improvement mindset. This person must be able to collaborate effectively, both onsite and remotely, with a variety of team members across a wide range of functions, including production, human resources, quality, engineering, operations, sales, and customers.
What You'll Do
The salary range for this role is $76,412-$93,600; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.

What You'll Do
- Serve as the safety lead and strategic partner for Louisville Production driving safety culture and operational safety performance.
- Lead and facilitate site safety initiatives including safety stand-ups, Safety Committee meetings, Gemba walks, and hazard reduction programs.
- Partner with site leadership to establish annual safety objectives and drive measurable improvements in leading and lagging indicators.
- Provide leadership for contractor safety programs in partnership with Facilities, including compliance oversight and risk management activities.
- Lead implementation and sustainment of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 initiatives and act as a key site champion for Louisville.
- Own development and continuous improvement of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), PPE assessments, and site hazard assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and interpretation of OSHA requirements and internal safety standards to leaders and teams.
- Oversee contractor compliance programs, administration and performance monitoring.
- Own Louisville safety metrics and KPI reporting, including inspections, hazards, near misses, corrective actions, and incident trends.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure root causes and sustainable corrective actions are implemented.
- Identify trends and develop strategic initiatives to reduce risk and improve operational performance.
- Support ESG reporting and safety-related sustainability initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Support East Region operations through regular engagement with District Service Managers and regional leadership.
- Influence and coach leaders across Operations, HR, Facilities, and Field Service on safety expectations and risk management practices.
- Lead safety communications, training initiatives, and sharing of lessons learned across the organization.
- Provide routine updates and recommendations to OHS leadership regarding risks, priorities, and opportunities.
- 4–6 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, production, or field operations environments.
- Experience leading site safety programs and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Experience implementing or supporting ISO 45001/14001 systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze trends and drive strategic safety improvements.
- Experience leading incident investigations and corrective action programs.
- Ability to influence leaders and operate independently with limited direction.
