About The Role
Packsize is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Accounting Intern to join our Revenue Accounting team for the spring semester. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in revenue accounting, financial reporting, and system implementation.
Our team is currently implementing a new revenue accounting software system with a go-live date in March. Interns will play a key role in supporting this project by helping validate data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a smooth implementation. In addition, interns will assist with year-end financial statement preparation, disclosures, and audit support—offering a well-rounded view of the revenue accounting function in a global organization.

What You’ll Do
- Perform completeness and accuracy testing of revenue data by validating system inputs against source documents (e.g., customer contracts)
- Assist with the implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of new revenue software
- Support the revenue team during year-end financial statement preparation, including reviewing draft financial statements and disclosures for accuracy
- Help prepare documentation and provide samples requested during the annual audit
- Conduct accounting research and assist in drafting accounting memos and related technical documentation
- Document and design revenue processes and internal controls
- Provide ad hoc support to the Revenue Accounting team as needed
- Currently a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
- Minimum 3.5 GPA in accounting coursework and 3.0 overall GPA
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, VBA, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information responsibly
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with or emphasis in accounting or other information systems preferred
- Must reside in or near Salt Lake County, Utah and be able to work in person
- Ability to work in an office environment, including sitting for extended periods and moving around the office
- Light work that may include moving objects up to 20 pounds
- Repetitive movements as part of daily computer-based tasks
