What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pallet Repair - Weekend Shift position at PackIQ?
MISSION
To meet the reparation procedures, in order to achieve the production plan in quality and safety standards.
- Use the equipment to bring the pallet in to the repair table.
- Check that there are no hazards and work can begin safety.
- Take maximum care when positioning pallets and with the tools.
- Use the stops fitted to the table to place the pallet securely.
- Carry out a visual inspection of the parts Klippa has cut off. In the event that any parts remain to be cut off, they should be removed immediately (using a reciprocating saw).
- Fit the parts missing from the pallet (cut off by the robot or manually by the operator, always taking maximum care when using manual tools).
- Once the pallet has been repaired it must be sent to the paint line, using the appropriate conveyor.
- To put the trash lumber in the correct conveyor.
- In the event of a fault/breakdown in the robot, the assembler must clear the Klippa of the blockage (by following the instructions in the user manual)
- Should the robot suffer a fault that the operator cannot resolve, they must carry on working, performing conventional repairs.
- If a fault is detected in the working equipment or tools a record must be made in the relevant work report and work stopped if necessary.
- Switch the machine on with the table clear of pallets.
- Cut off any parts that do not meet standards (PQS Chep).
- Replace with new lumber elements.
- To control the repaired pallets per shift.
- To accomplish the work orders from your supervisor.
This position is production based.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
