Packard Claims Administration is a fast paced and growing TPA handing Workers' Compensation claims looking for a Lost Time Claims Examiner with 5 years litigation experience.Responsibilities:Must have and maintain Florida Adjuster licenseDetermine coverage, compensability and potential for subrogation recovery on assigned claimsAbility to investigate claims with little supervision ranging from simple to more complexCommunication timely with appropriate parties involved in claims per company policiesResponsible for setting, maintaining and adjusting reserves for the life of the claimWork with in-house nursing team to develop and execute return to work strategiesDocument and execute action plans to bring claims to final resolutionNegotiate claims for settlement within desk authorityKnowledge of Jurisdictional requirements to ensure timely denial and/or payment of benefitsMaintain continuing education requirements for assigned jurisdictionsKeep up to date on case laws for each assigned jurisdictionObtain extensive knowledge of assigned claims for preparation of possible depositions and/or mediationsAct in accordance with company policies and proceduresQualifications:High school diploma5 or more years related claims experience requiredAppropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handledExtensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices Computer experience with related claims and business softwareThe position is available to work from home within the state of Florida.WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER APPLY TODAYCompany DescriptionPackard Claims Administration is a fast paced and growing TPA specializing in Workers' Compensation Claims.
