Job Title: Machine Operator (Plastic and Foam Pressing)

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating machinery that presses foam onto dies to form finished products according to specifications.
In addition to press operation, the Press Operator will be required to accurately measure and cut foam materials using a bandsaw. Strong math and measurement skills are essential to ensure material is cut to correct dimensions and tolerances.
After processing, the operator will stack finished products onto pallets or place them into boxes and prepare them for shipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machines that press foam materials onto dies
- Load materials into machines accurately and in proper quantities
- Inspect products during and after the pressing process to ensure quality standards are met
- Make minor machine adjustments as needed to maintain product accuracy
- Safely remove finished items from machines and prepare them for packaging
- Measure and cut foam materials to specified dimensions using a bandsaw
- Apply strong math and measurement skills to ensure accurate cuts and minimal material waste
- Package products according to company standards, ensuring items are properly boxed, palletized, and labeled
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure proper operation and reduce downtime
- Assist with inventory tracking of raw materials and finished goods
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Report machine malfunctions, material issues, or safety concerns to a supervisor promptly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in machine operation, particularly in a manufacturing or production environment, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect product defects.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday
