Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in route driving and familiarity with local roads is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Capability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is desirable but not mandatory.
- Must pass background checks as required by company policy.
