Customer Service, Billing and Collections Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented customer service, billing, and collections specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers who need to place an order, customer inquiries, manage daily billing operations, resolve account discrepancies, and handle outbound follow-ups for outstanding balances. Your goal is to ensure smooth revenue cycle workflows while delivering empathetic, professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Support: Answer inbound customer inquiries regarding orders, billing statements, payment histories, and account charges via phone and email in a professional manner.
• Billing Operations: Generate and distribute accurate invoices, statements, and payment reminders.
• Collections & Recovery: Proactively contact past-due accounts and guide customers through resolution options.
• Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing errors, discrepancies, and payment rejections by collaborating with internal departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in customer service, accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and active listening skills with a calm, helpful phone demeanor.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and comfortable navigating Inform software.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and high accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation.
• Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
