Principle Responsibilities
Responsible for reviewing and processing requisitions, obtaining quotations, conducting analysis of proposals, conducting negotiations, maintaining knowledge of and selecting vendors, developing and implementing blanket orders and contracts, monitoring vendor total quality, and determining appropriate inventories to assure optimum total costs in the MRO, Services and/or Raw Materials area. Responsible for reconciliation of related Accounts Payable issues. Serves as back-up to other department positions and may be assigned supervisory or additional procurement duties as required.
PCA’s paper mills operate on a continuous basis – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Candidates for this position must be able to occasionally work long hours and all shifts. During annual outages – typically two (2) times per year for a duration of seven (7) consecutive days – and during unscheduled shutdowns, all employees are scheduled to work 12-hour shifts.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in business, engineering, or supply management related major plus five years’ experience in purchasing or related field; good communication and organizational skills. Ability to plan and execute. Experience in negotiations of large volume procurement contracts. Professional certification or ability to attain. Computer skills a must.

Compensation And Benefits
- Starting salary range for position: $66,960 - $100,440.
- Bonus: Annual – Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
- Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
- Paid Holidays.
