Position Responsibilities:
· Make recommendations on equipment selection and offer multiple opportunities.
· Collaborate with customer’s engineering teams to choose and implement equipment solutions.
· Work in a team that is aligned to identify cost improvement, margin enhancement and productivity gains.
· Ability to work on equipment for erecting and sealing our cases. Identify areas of improvement and work with customer to improve their throughput. All while ensuring our cases run withlittle issue to reduce claims and returns.
· Ability to train employees on equipment. Attend OEM training for installation and be a trainer for equipment being implemented.
· Interact with our plants and National Accounts to be a conduit for larger projects from inception toimplementation.
· Manage projects to conclusion. Capturing all relevant savings and margin improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
· Manufacturing industry experience required.
· Must have spent time in a plant working with mechanical packaging of all makes and models.
· Must have knowledge of current packaging equipment including price, scope of ability and availability.
· Must have analytical ability to identify and support automation projects at the customer.
· Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical,electrical, and electronic systems
· Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the timeNationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Additional language proficiency.
· Long hours on the shop floor and weekend work .
