Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos to showcase features and benefits
- Upsell related products or accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized
- Handle stocking duties by replenishing inventory and managing stock levels on the sales floor
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Conduct retail math calculations accurately for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments
- Support supervising staff by guiding new team members or helping with daily store operations when needed
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math calculations
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and handling retail transactions is desirable
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards in retail environments
