What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Server Assistant position at Pack's Tavern?

Pack's Tavern, a busy, family-owned restaurant in downtown Asheville, is looking for a part-time Host to join our team. While your primary role will be hosting, you may occasionally work Server Assistant shifts to support the team during busy times.

What We Offer

Competitive pay – starting at $10/hr tips (average $18–$20/hr with tip share)
3–4 shifts per week, including nights and weekends
A positive, team-focused environment

What You'll Do As a Host

Greet guests warmly and manage the waitlist
Answer basic questions about the menu and the restaurant
Help seat guests quickly and efficiently

When Filling In As a Server Assistant, You May

Run food and drinks to tables
Clear and reset tables
Support servers to keep service running smoothly

What We're Looking For

Friendly and welcoming personality
Ability to stay organized during busy shifts
Comfortable on your feet for your entire shift
Strong team player and communicator
