Duties
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using warehouse management systems.
- Manage stock levels proactively by analyzing demand planning data, sales trends, and historical analytics to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to support sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize purchasing processes for cost efficiency.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau to generate reports on inventory performance, logistics metrics, and supply chain analytics.
- Oversee shipping & receiving operations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment while adhering to safety standards for heavy lifting and materials handling.
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Support category management initiatives by analyzing merchandising data from Nielsen or retail management systems to inform stocking decisions.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, warehouse distribution, and logistics inventory management.
- Experience with procurement processes including sourcing, pricing strategies, contracts, and supplier management.
- Technical skills in data mining, data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and demand planning tools to support analytics-driven decision-making.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements that boost operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and safety protocols related to heavy lifting.
