Pacifica Companies is looking for a Real Estate Loan Assistant to join our team!
We are currently looking for an organized, meticulous individual to support the Director of Loan Acquisitions & Portfolio Management. This will be a dynamic role focused on real estate loan acquisitions and portfolio management, based in our San Diego corporate office. This is a 100% on-site position.
Pay: $24–$26 per hour
Responsibilities
• Assist the Director in acquiring, evaluating, and managing a portfolio of loans.
• Track a high volume of deadlines — extensions, payoffs, maturities, insurance — without letting anything slip.
• Update databases, document communication, and organize internal files.
• Record communication between Pacifica and its partners (primarily through email).
• Collect and summarize information on potential loan acquisitions.
• Review documents for accuracy, flagging anything that doesn't match approved terms.
• Maintain organized records and follow established procedures to help ensure that loan files are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a lending or real estate role preferred but not required.
• Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to identify errors such as incorrect dates or transposed numbers.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines at once, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• A demonstrated willingness to learn, including picking up new processes quickly, seeking clarification when needed, and steadily taking on more responsibility over time.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to summarize.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and identify items that require further review.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Exercises professional and ethical judgment.
• Must be able to pass a background check and company-policy drug screen.
