The IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager is responsible for the design, security, availability, and lifecycle management of the company’s enterprise IT infrastructure across all locations and cloud platforms. This role combines senior level technical execution with infrastructure management accountability, serving as the single point of ownership for IT managed infrastructure.
This position operates as a hands-on technical leader, setting infrastructure standards, making architectural decisions, managing vendors, and ensuring stable operations in a multisite manufacturing environment. While this role may provide guidance and technical leadership to IT Operations staff, it is not a large people management role; success is measured by system reliability, clarity of ownership, and operational maturity.

Infrastructure Ownership & Management
- Own and manage allITmanaged infrastructure, including:
- Onpremisesservers, virtualization platforms, and storage
- Enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, site connectivity)
- Cloud and hybrid environments (primarily Microsoft Azure)
- Identity platforms (Active Directory, Entra ID, hybrid identity)
- Establish andmaintaininfrastructure standards, architectures, and lifecycle plans.
- Act as thefinal escalation pointfor complex infrastructure incidents and outages.
Cloud & Hybrid Engineering
- Architect, deploy, andoperateAzure IaaS and hybrid services, including networking and security controls.
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID platforms in coordination with security requirements.
- Drive cloud optimization efforts related tocost, performance, and resilience.
Security, Resilience & Risk Management
- Implement infrastructure security controls aligned with corporate cybersecurity standards and external security partners.
- Ownbackup, disaster recovery, and business continuitystrategies for IT infrastructure.
- Identifyinfrastructure risks, technical debt, and compliance gaps; develop and execute mitigation plans.
Vendor & Platform Management
- Manage infrastructure vendors, service providers, and support contracts.
- Lead infrastructurerelated procurements, renewals, and technical evaluations.
- Serve as the technical authority in vendor discussions, designs, and escalations.
Operational Leadership & Maturity
- Define andmaintainoperational runbooks, monitoring standards, and documentation.
- Partner with IT Operations staff at each site to ensure consistent execution and support.
- Improve infrastructure processes usingITILalignedpractices(incident, change, and problem management).
Architecture & Continuous Improvement
- Serve astheinfrastructure architectfor the organization.
- Lead modernization initiatives (cloud migration, hardware refreshes, platform upgrades).
- Ensure infrastructure decisions align with business growth, manufacturing uptime, andlong-termstrategy.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- IT Operations (plant levelexecution and support)
- Application owners (ERP, financial and business systems)
- Cybersecurity partners and auditors
- Plant leadershipwhereIT infrastructure impacts operations
- Maintain clear boundaries betweenIT ownedinfrastructureandOT/plant ownedsystems.

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant Microsoft, Azure, networking, or security certifications are a plus.
- Advanced experience with:
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID
- Virtualization platforms (HyperV, VMware, or equivalent)
- Azure infrastructure and hybrid networking
- Enterprise networking fundamentals
- Backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell preferred).
- Deep understanding of infrastructure security best practices.
- 8 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles.
- Proven success supportingmultisite or distributed environments, preferably manufacturing or industrial.
- Experienceoperatinginhigh availability,uptime sensitiveenvironments.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
Must be authorized to work in the US.
