PSYCHOLOGY ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

Description: Private practice clinical psychologist looking for a psychometrician/psychometrist to administer psychological assessments to clients and score assessments. Tests include measures of intelligence, achievement, learning/memory, attention, development as well as behavior checklists and personality questionnaires. Typical clients include children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults. Clients are usually referred for an evaluation for diagnostic clarification, academic support, for learning disabilities, attention disorders, behavioral disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, and developmental disorders. Additional duties, including general office tasks, reviewing reports, and managing inventory can be assigned based upon skill and comfort of the applicant.

Qualifications: A well-qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field and graduate coursework in cognitive assessment with experience using the Wechsler battery of tests. Training opportunities will be provided for other tests as necessary. Other desired qualifications include comfort and interest in working with diverse populations and age groups, comfort and experience with technology, a desire to learn, and an ability to work independently.

Compensation: This is a part-time/full-time independent contractor position, and the hours are flexible Monday-Saturday. Opportunity to add more hours is available. Hourly rate can range between $23-$28. Competitive wages and an opportunity for income advancement with increased efficiency and responsibilities will be offered.
