Pacific Vial Manufacturing Inc. – Commerce, CAPacific Vial Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a motivated and mechanically skilled Technician to join our glass vial production team. This position requires hands-on experience operating and maintaining manufacturing machinery, particularly in environments involving high-temperature processes like firing.You will play a critical role in ensuring that our machines run safely and efficiently, supporting the overall success of production output. Position Overview:The Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment used in the manufacturing of glass vials. You will work directly on machine setup, quality monitoring, and repairs to support safe and efficient operations throughout your shift. Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate production machinery, line systems, and camera inspection systems per daily work ordersMonitor oven temperatures, firing consistency, and machine performance to ensure product qualityConduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to avoid disruptions in productionPerform safety checks and inspect machines for signs of wear, unusual noise, or malfunctionAssist with changeovers, part replacements, and basic diagnostics of mechanical or electrical issuesReport any safety hazards or malfunctions to leadership immediatelySupport loaders and other team members to ensure smooth line operationMaintain clean work areas and comply with safety and cleanliness standards Experience Required:2 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in machine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting Strong problem solving and analytical skills In dept knowledge of production equipment, machinery, and systems Ability to work effectively across departments Familiarity with high-temperature equipment and firing processes is strongly preferredHands-on experience with production machinery, maintenance tools, and line setupBasic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshootingComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environmentEducation:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical training, trade school certification, or coursework in mechanics or industrial systems is a plusSkills and Competencies:Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAttention to detail and commitment to qualityGood communication and teamwork skillsStrong time management and organizational habitsSafety awareness and ability to follow proper proceduresTechnical Skills and expertise Problem solving and Analytical Thinking Attention to detail Communication Skills Time management Health, Safety and Compliance Knowledge Preferred Training/Exposure To:Glass vial or high-heat manufacturing equipmentKeyence camera systemsISO quality systems and production protocolsMicrosoft Dynamics NAV (preferred but not required)Mechanic safety training or awareness certificationKeyence Machine ISO Tonics Nav Microsoft Dynamics (Preferred)Vial Production Camera Systems ISO Quality Control Manual Mechanic safety awareness cert.
