Production Lead (Overnight Glass Vial Manufacturing)

Pacific Vial Manufacturing Inc is seeking a dynamic and passionate Production Shift Lead to join our team. This role requires you to have excellent communication skills and a passion for excellence. You will have one direct report for all needs associated with your position and shift. In addition, your Human Resource Leadership team will also be available for your needs as the company ensures it has an open-door policy for all team members.Position Overview: The shift lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. The shift lead will also be responsible for maintaining safety, and quality control while managing team performance and morale.Key Responsibilities:Leads a team of ___20___ in a production environment.Responsible for overseeing daily production activities that include maintenance, safety, inventory control, QC, profit/cost analysis, and team member relationships.Responsible for setting and communicating SMART goals to team on a routine basis.Ensure fulfillment of daily objectives under the direction of the Director of Operations.Supervise the operation of glass machines and other machinery in the production process and assists other machine operators.Works in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities.Maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment throughout the department.Develop and monitor KPIs to support team development and operational success.Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance with appropriate partnerships.Check production output according to specifications for each order.Submit reports on performance, progress, and waste, identifying issues in efficiency and suggesting improvements.· Communicate effectively and collaborate with management and team to maximize productivity and efficiency.· Perform Interviews, observations, counseling including but not limited to Annual ReviewsExperience Required:Minimum of 2 years of experience in production environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.Supervise and provide constructive feedback to team members.
