Position Overview:
The Bench Checker is the first line of defense against producing defective vials. This role involves monitoring assigned machine lines that produce vials, ensuring quality products are manufactured, and addressing any machine-related issues.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Conduct thorough inspections of products on the bench to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Calibrate machines to ensure proper functionality and precision in vial production.
- Document findings and report any discrepancies or defects to the appropriate team members.
- Perform tests and measurements using various tools and equipment to verify product integrity
- Regularly run vials on the Keyence machine to check for dimensional accuracy and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with production specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Adhere to all safety rules, quality standards, and company policies.
- Inspect vials on the vial-forming machine and conveyor belts for defects, such as waviness.
- Conduct hourly checks using Go-No-Go gauges to ensure vials meet specifications.
- Measure vials with calipers to verify bottom thickness and length specifications.
- Ensure vials are standing straight and do not have rounded bottoms by standing up five vials for each machine.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods and walk between machines/lathes.
- Frequently required to use hands for handling and reaching.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Currently looking to fill a 2nd shift position M-T 7pm -5:45 AM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
