As a Student Multicultural Center Assistant, you will provide general support for the Center and student engagement program. You will be responsible for ensuring the Center is always neat and presentable, answer student questions and connect them to available resources, and promote the Center and its resources. Additionally, you will assist other student leaders in organizing and implementing projects and events.

Responsibilities
- Staff and maintain the Student Multicultural Center
- Answer student questions and connect them to available resources
- Assist in the organization and implementation of events hosted through the SMC
- Promote services and resources available through the SMC (Outreach)
- Assist in gathering student feedback regarding programming, services, and events
- Assist in completing SMC clerical duties and special assignments, as needed
- Develop collaborative relationships with the Undergraduate Student Senate (USS), clubs and organizations, additional student leaders, and campus partners
- Complete daily office hours log and program evaluations for events and projects
Requirements
- Be registered for academic year
- Be in good disciplinary and academic standing (cumulative GPA of at least 2.0)
- Maintain a minimum of four (4) office hours weekly
- Attend all required meetings
- Bi-weekly check-ins with advisor
- Weekly leadership team meetings
- Additional meetings relevant to position, when possible
- Attend and support additional Student Engagement and Inclusion events and activities, as able
- Attend all retreats and trainings
- Practice effective communication with advisor relating to job duties and academic progress
