Pacific University invites experienced teachers to join our pool of qualified, part-time adjunct faculty who wish to teach courses in mathematics. Our mathematics program is committed to academic excellence and student success, utilizing engaging pedagogy to build foundational problem-solving skills and an appreciation of mathematics across all student levels.  We are looking for potential instructors who possess a strong background in mathematics instruction, who have shown a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, and who can effectively motivate students of varied skill levels.


Part-time teaching positions may be available throughout the academic year (Fall & Spring semesters). Applicants with expertise that matches the course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview.


Core Instructional AreasWe are often looking for expertise across several foundational areas, including:
College Algebra (MATH 122)
Pre-Calculus (MATH 125)
Calculus I (MATH 226)


Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, in-person instruction and timely feedback to undergraduate students on our Forest Grove campus
Engage with department faculty to ensure curricular alignment and student success.

Qualifications:

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Education: A Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
Experience: A minimum of five (3) years of mathematics teaching experience.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching at the collegiate level. 


Availability: Daytime teaching and office hour availability is required. Schedule dependent on course needs.
