The role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and direct daily roofing crew operations across active job sites
- Plan and schedule work sequences to ensure efficient project completion within budget and timeline
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to guide field execution
- Enforce all OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company safety protocols
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety inspections; document and address any hazards promptly
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain uninterrupted workflow
- Communicate daily progress, issues, and needs to project managers and ownership
- Mentor and develop crew members, fostering a culture of accountability and skill growth
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout all phases of roofing installation
- Maintain accurate daily logs, crew timesheets, and material usage records
What you bring
Requirements
- 5 years of roofing experience, with at least 2 in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, shingle, and/or metal roofing systems
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 10/30 safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Proven ability to manage crews of 5–15 workers
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Physical ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
Nice to have
Preferred
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with commercial low-slope roofing systems
- Manufacturer certifications (GAF, Carlisle, Firestone, etc.)
- Bilingual English/Spanish a strong plus
- Experience using construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend)
- First Aid / CPR certification
